WWI US ARMY AEF M1907 Leather Sling M1903 Springfield Rifle Marked HOYT 1918

Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Marked: HOYT 1918 – Very Nice Condition. The sling is marked: HOYT and dated 1918. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor surface cracking of the leather. No deep cracks, no breaks through the leather. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. The lower rivet of the hook, on the longer strap is starting to pull through the back of the leather. Still attached to the leahter. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items.
