Hand built leather sling with steel keeper with rollers. Including handmade matching stock/dog collars. In 1918 United States Army surcharged atleast a quarter million Remington and New England Westinghouse built Mosin Nagant Rifles originally meant for export to Imperial Russia during WWI. The Army used this unique riveted sling pattern with their M1891’s as depicted in the pictures of an American Soldiers equipped with Mosins. I have several other examples of this pattern. Shown here at its fully shortened adjustment on my U. Remington M1891, this sling pattern is extremely difficult to find an intact original of. Sling is 1″ wide and 54″+ long.

Monogram no longer offered. Stitch on sling if choosing no shell loops. This can be made only for Rossi ranch hand and Henry mares leg. I add a cover on the back side of the sling so shell holders don’t show (not pictured). Color is natural 8 oz leather for cover and 12oz for the sling. As seen in pics these are incorporated into the stock cover and barrel. Assemble is set in a side mount arrangement allowing this to be carried across chest or across back in bandoleer style. Also comes with matching lever wrap! Note : mares leg front attachment is attached to barrel and magazine not like pictured to forearm. Sling is fully adjustable (54 long), will hold up to 13 cartridges (depending on size) or if you want I can add a stitch / lacing down the middle in place of shell loops. Just tell me along with gun info in message after sale. NOTE: back side of sling will be covered (not shown in pics) this makes a much nicer finish. Sorry that I don’t have pics to display this. Cover conforms, Fits tightly to stock as seen. Laces like a shoe. This is very comfortable and works great for carrying while on foot, horseback or atv. Offered is an original World War One production United States military issue Model 1907 leather sling made for use with the 1903 Springfield or Model 1917 rifles. This will also fit an M1 Garand (the M1907 was used extensively with the Garand during World War Two) and was used on Trench Shotguns as well. This unmarked sling is correctly has brass claws, both of which remain tight and solid. It also has both of its original sewn keepers. This sling is full length and has never been modified, repaired, cleaned, or polished. While it shows one area of surface wear, that area has no rips or tears (or even cracking) and remains very solid. Overall the sling shows only minor wear (and would likely clean up quite nicely if one were so inclined) and has very little cracking. Far less than expected for a sling that is over a century old. These slings have become difficult to find, as the repros and fakes greatly outnumber the originals. It is offered as pictured and is considerably more solid than most you will find of this era. Overall, a scarce and desirable World War One era sling that will display well on your rifle.
