Offered is an original pre-World War One production leather sling manufactured for use with the Springfield Trapdoor rifles, Krag-Jorgensen rifles and early Springfield Model of 1903 rifles. This pre-M1907 sling was manufactured with one brass claw and one brass button/stud. It will fit any 03 rifle but is certainly correct for early 03s, including rod bayonet 03s. This sling is offered as pictured in original, unmodified full-length condition. The brass claw is solid, as are each of the three rivets. The two original sewn leather keepers are present. Overall, the sling remains very supple and shows much lighter than expected wear and cracking, especially when considering its age. DAMAGE AT THE KEEPER AS SEE. UNABLE TO READ THE MARKING AT THE TAB.
