It enables the shooter to quickly achieve a much more stable shooting position with minimum extra weight. It can be used standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling or in prone positions. Jeff Cooper recommended such for use in his renowned “Scout Rifle” concept. All these slings are made from 1 wide vegetable tanned leather. This leather does require occasional oiling to maintain durability. As they are a three point sling they require an additional swivel. This leather does require occasional oiling to maintain durability. As they are a three point sling they require an additional swivel. The wide version is 1 1/4 wide. It does not have Conway loop (the brass fitting which allows easier adjustments). The leather did not brand well. It should not affect its performance as the area branded is not a stress point. Handmade “Ching Sling” for stable unsupported shooting. Made from 1 wide veg tanned leather. Additional swivel required. Veg tanned leather requires oiling. The wide version is 1 1/4 wide. It does not have Conway loop (brass fitting which allows easier adjustments). The blemished tan has some water marking which should not affect performance and has been reduced accordingly.
