This sling was originally made from 3 sections that are sewed together and the stitching is very strong. It has one brass hook that has a nice shape to it and is securely fastened. The vast majority of the surface is very nice with some surface wear on the end that has the keeper. Both keepers are very nice but the stitching has come loose where the ends meet. The sling is padded, adjustable, and has brass chicago screw fasteners. The sling starting length is 30 1/2″ long and adjust out to 33″ long. All of SLW items are handcrafted, each item is unique. SLW uses only the finest natural leather, and the natural surface of leather has its own characteristics. The proof of its uniqueness is the markings that occur during the life of the animal. Leather used to create the products of SLW will include scratches, scars, brands, insect bites, indentations and scuffs. Winchester Fishhook Sling Swivels and nice saddle leather sling setup for a Winchester vintage rifle. This swivel setup came from a Winchester 1894 deluxe. Winchester used this swivel for 50+ years from about 1890 – 1940. This sling swivel would be correct to install on many different Winchester Lever Actions from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. No deep cracks or crazing. Some minor surface cracks. It has the unique buckle with the single metal stud. Also has the sewen in detachable sling swivel. The sling is ORIGINAL. A used leather rifle sling by Davis Leather Company. It has Gordon’s earlier omega hallmark. It’s a cobra-style sling, padded leather, with a deep tree leaf pattern. It’s adjustable from about 30 inches to 35 inches in length in eleven increments. The adjustment strap is 1 wide and the widest part of the padded section is 3 inches. The end loops use aluminum Chicago screws, so they’re secure and won’t react with the leather the way brass hardware does. The thin strap has a wrinkle from where it went around a swivel and there’s a few dark areas on the back side from use. The front side and the decoration remain nice, not scarred or stained. A top-quality hand-made sling from Davis. Don’t carry your nice rifle with an inexpensive mass-produced sling. One of a few original Davis slings we are offering for sale. See our other listings.
