Lee Enfield No4T Sniper Rifle Genuine Items Pick and Mix L42, No32
Original / Authentic parts and accessories for the Lee Enfield No4T Sniper Rifle and its derivatives / successors – L42 / L39. Ideal to repair a real version of the famous Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 T rifle and its CES. The UK sourced bracket is made to original drawings, processes and standards by an expert on British Sniper equipment, then they are hand finished and completed with Suncorite – per the post war build standards – including having the caps serial numbered to the positions. These are as good as, and an acceptable replacement for an original bracket. Scope Bracket Mounting Pad Screws are plain steel (ready to solder to secure) and have the correct slotted raised countersink heads for the front bad and slotted countersunk for the rear – I include an extra screw for each as… The L42 / L39 bolt head is marked “19T” as a proof for the higher 7.62 x 51mm NATO round pressures, finished in (black) Suncorite with 90% finish remaining marked as “0” size/. The L8 / L42 magazine was designed for the L8 project in 1965 and then shelved until the L42 was developed in the early 1970s. These are genuine lightly used examples with light shelf wear to raised edges. Also good to add to the L39, which was designed as a single hand load rifle (retaining the 303 magazine to serve as a platform). The Sniper Cheek Piece screws are authentic specification size and form in plain steel – good for the real thing or a reproduction – the shorter one is the forward position to miss the butt retention bolt. The No4T micrometer rear sights came to me blackened and with the battle sight removed from store – I believe these to be genuine No4T rear sights form the surplus programs. I have rebuilt them with Moly grease and everything works as it should. The Savage marked item is a rare early piece from some of the first rifles produced by Savage and the No4T conversion program (true Mk1 rifles from Savage). Triangular Sling Swivels are of the MOD “low tower” design and will only rotate until they contact the loops in the trigger guard. This screw replaces the front trigger guard screw – re-use the spring and spacer. These are wartime produced and in a browned wartime finish or “FTR” Suncorite black paint finish, with slightly larger triangle loops to take the 1907 leather sling. No marks other than an “E” “F”” or “B on the head. I have aftermarket blued low tower examples and Parker Hale high tower versions in other listings. Fabricated rear (butt) sling swivels – this design is noted by armourers to afford more space than the machined version to allow the leather 1907 sling to pass. Not in an official specification but often changed out for this reason. These are NOS and broad arrow marked. Reproduction 1907 leather slings – marked for Kerr and of the right materials, length and shapes – I put these here to offer an option to preserve your original sling and save it from undue use wear and tear. All screws and fasteners are modern production of the right design, I will be working to procure bulk screws of the specification and better finish over time. The “M47C” marked safety catch lever is as observed on the factory rifles and the H&H T conversions – good to add back to rifle that has its original swapped out – 4 piece kit – only the lever is marked. As are the “M47C” marked bolt heads – dimension indicates the head length for target head spacing – plus or minus 0.002″ on my caliper, photos are “stock and not of the actual part – as for more details / photos as neccessary.
