It has all of the physical characteristics of an 1800s leather rifle sling. Sharps, Spencer or Henry type of rifle. 51 ¼ inches of leather and the total length is 28 ¼ inches. Keeper hook is in very good and straight condition. It is securely fastened within the end of the sling with strong leather and stitching. On the backside of the sling, there is a hole reinforcement of 24 ¾ inches. Of that, about 2 ¼ inches of it has come undone due to the stitching has broken. The backside is a rough texture common to leather. The hole reinforcement is slightly rough. The leather keeper is securely attached and has a small area of surface cracking. The top of the sling is a mixture of smooth, some surface cracking, and some areas of normal surface wear. The leather is strong and pliable. It is stamped within a rectangle: M. We do not believe this to be the year of manufacture. But rather a lot or other identification number. Currently not sure what this is for. Customized handcrafted Mandalorian themed leather rifle sling with design featuring I Have Spoken quote, Mandalorian helmet and geometric pattern. This custom engraving is stained silver on black finished leather. Shoulder strap is 3 wide at widest point. Designed for 1″ sling swivels with 1″ tab at top and 1 wide strap. Sling has an adjustable length from 30″ to 44″. Sling swivels are not included. We start with premium 7/9 ounce natural vegetable tanned leather and laser engrave the desired design and shape. The edges are then beveled, finished, and slicked with gum tragacanth. The sling is then dyed and finished with a top coat and wax to protect the finish. It is finally assembled with black hardware including a Chicago Screw at the top and a Conway buckle for adjustments. The finish is varied due to natural grain of the leather and hand application of the finish, we will try to get it as close to the piece depicted in the photo as possible. This is a made to order item that takes several days to complete due to drying time. We can make any size, color, design, text, finish or hardware. It has all of the physical characteristics of an 1800s leather rifle sling. Sharps, Spencer or Henry type of rifle. 51 ¼ inches of leather and the total length is 28 ¼ inches. Keeper hook is in very good and straight condition. It is securely fastened within the end of the sling with strong leather and stitching. On the backside of the sling, there is a hole reinforcement of 24 ¾ inches. Of that, about 2 ¼ inches of it has come undone due to the stitching has broken. The backside is a rough texture common to leather. The hole reinforcement is slightly rough. The leather keeper is securely attached and has a small area of surface cracking. The top of the sling is a mixture of smooth, some surface cracking, and some areas of normal surface wear. The leather is strong and pliable. It is stamped within a rectangle: M. We do not believe this to be the year of manufacture. But rather a lot or other identification number. Currently not sure what this is for.
