CIVIL WAR MUSKET OR RIFLE SLING LEATHER VERY GOOD CONDITION 65 ¼ inches

This sling was originally made from 3 sections that are sewed together and the stitching is very strong. It has one brass hook that has a nice shape to it and is securely fastened. The vast majority of the surface is very nice with some surface wear on the end that has the keeper. Both keepers are very nice but the stitching has come loose where the ends meet. Brass euyes show some vertigis that needs removal. Shearling lining is in good condition. Currently measures 34 with about 4 more inches to extend. Fresh from older estate. KRAG LEATHER SLING ORIGINAL Stamped W. Very Good Leather & Stitching. This is an original leather sling from a Krag. Very good brass hardware and very good leather. On one end of the leather, it is clearly stamped W. The stitching is very strong on the section where the 2 sections of leather come together and on the keepers. The leather is strong and will easily hold the weight of a rifle, including the keepers. The leather has medium and darker medium brown colors. The leather is firm and pliable. About 1/3 of the frog keeper holes have a minor surface crack and there is one near the frog. A portion of the middle of the sling has a slight surface wrinkle look to it. Very nice looking sling. Covers nearly all the stock leaving hand area free. 10 sturdy shell holders are set in a angle for maximum area use allowing 5- 410’s up front and 5-45LC’s in rear or what ever combo you desire. Decorative lace and lanyard added both in cover and sling which is 12 oz leather of same. It might look complicated to install but isnt! Just lace on the bottom from front to back like a shoe. This cover is functional, comfortable, protective and pretty darn neat looking! Gun , shells and Quick tach swivels not included! Note: please see my feedback.
