Offered here is a great replica of the famous, impossible to find, USAF M13 Aircrewman shoulder holster sling that was made famous by Lee Harvey Oswald when he used it with his (using the word “his” loosely) Italian Carcano rifle on November 22nd, 1963. This replica is made nearly exact to the original I have, including the original style cr. Imp-fit plain faced double cap rivets, no crappy looking screw on type here. Please see the pics of them side by side. Same quality and thickness of leather, plus the correct black finish and shape to exact original specs, please see pics again side by side to the original, plus I was able to achieve just the right amount of “dirt/grime” to replicate the look of Oswald’s. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – VERY NICE Condition. Ther are no visible markings or dates on the sling. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is flexible and supple. The sling is starting to stiffen. There is some minor wrinkling and minor cracking on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich dark brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Dated 1918 – Nice Condition. The sling is dated 1918. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and surface cracks on the surface of the leather. There is a vintage repair at the end of the short segment of the sling. The leather has darken with age.
