I also have so have some marked MRT 12/86 but not in storage bags. I have been told it was used on USMC M40 A1 and Model 14 Army and USMC Rifles (I know the word “model” is incorrect but acceptable on this site) Will also work on M1 Grand. This is a beautiful braided leather rifle sling. It uses 1 inch swivels and measures 34 inches as pictured. It was made in Spain and is marked Kassnar. Braided slings are someehat difficult to find. I used to collect European hunting rifles and I always thought that braided slings looked traditional and particularly handsome on them. It is in very good condition. The leather is soft and pliable.
