Up for sale is this Vintage Old Original WWII Era Rifle Leather Sling Strap 44″x1″ for M1 Carbine or Another. This sling came from an estate sale. The sling looks like it was used a lot, and is worn down. You can see this in the photos. This sling was sitting in a basement, in a box for many years and has some white spots, and smells musty. We found this sling in a box with other military slings. We don’t know exactly what rifle this sling was used with. For it’s age, this sling looks like it’s still in good shape, but we don’t know how strong the leather is. For us it looks like this is more of a display item for your collection. We have more military holsters and rifle slings from this estate sale for sale on our store. If you’re interested you can take a look. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We often have more than 6 pictures with our listings. Please look at the pictures carefully. You may find something in the pictures that we didn’t mention in the description. As we sell mostly older items. We do our best to show the defects, but sometimes they are missed. If you have questions, please ask, we respond frequently to our emails. We sell a lot of vintage tools and goods. Feel free to take a look at our store. We will send a new invoice each evening. In order to be fair to all our clients, we do not do this. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\WW II (1939-45)\Original Period Items\United States\Field Gear, Equipment”. The seller is “nedzus201416″ and is located in this country: US. What these are nobody seems to know for sure, while they fit on Argentine Mausers, and look nice, they are either a much later than 1891 sling intended to be used on1891’s, or they were intended for some other Argentine Weapon, and just happen to also fit rifles. My personal guess is that they were intended for Argentine FAL’s, and ALSO as a universal replacement for other weapons. My guess is that they were manufactured in the 1970’s? Whatever the case, you know how 100% impossible Argentine slings are to find, so here is your chance. This is a very nice sling, and made of top quality materials. It has a few tiny scars, but is otherwise about mint. It is definitely Argentine in origin, with the traditional Argentine Green color. A very small number of these hit the market in the last few months but I could not identify a source. This one is about 47 inches in length and will probably be perfect for an Argentine Carbine. It would definitely attach to a rifle, but might not have enough length to adjust out far enough for some folks to sling over a shoulder…. Depends on your build I guess. You decide if it will work for your needs. I don’t mean to make anyoe nervous about this sling, it is really handsome and rare, just do not want to be dishonest about it either. If I still collected South American Mausers I would not be parting with it! The item “Argentine Model 1891 Mauser Carbine / Rifle Green Leather Sling MINTY MUST READ” is in sale since Thursday, June 10, 2021. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\Other Militaria”. The seller is “doc-owen” and is located in Wakarusa, Indiana. This item can be shipped to United States.
