Rifle Western Saddle Scabbard for Carbine Rifles or 16.5″ to 22″ Barrels with Cartridge Loop Shoulder Sling – Winchester, Henry, Marlin, Rossi and more! Fits both Round and Octagonal barrels with cartridge tubes that are full length of the barrel. Also fits most large loop levers. All our scabbards are made from quality 9-10 oz. Leather and cut so that the grain of the leather runs the length of the scabbard. This gives it additional strength and adds great character. Since the grains every hide are different, each scabbard we build is unique. The lacing is also hand cut and it goes through a hand softening process to become strong oiled lace. The saddle straps are long, approx. 51, and cut from the same piece of leather as the scabbard. The throat of the scabbard is large enough you can reach inside to take hold of the rifle by its grip. This model also comes with a padded shoulder sling with 10 cartridge loops. Loops can be made for most rifle rounds. It is 3″ wide so it can easily accommodate 2.5″ rounds such as 45-70. For tapered rounds, such as 30-30, loops will be slightly offset so the rounds remain centered on sling. (Pictured with 45 Long Colts). Sling and extension can be removed to be used also as a Rifle Sling on rifles with standard 1 mounts. Sling can be adjusted out to 38 without extension. In addition to finishing the leather, the scabbard and sling have been given a weather proofing treatment to further help protect it from snow and rain. Also pictured is our dark brown model.
