Sling is fully adjustable (54 long) , will hold up to 13 cartridges (depending on size) of your choice or none at all if desired. Cover conforms , Fits tightly to stock as seen. Laces like a shoe. Offered here is a great replica of the famous, impossible to find, USAF M13 Aircrewman shoulder holster sling that was made famous by Lee Harvey Oswald when he used it with his (using the term his loosely) Italian Carcano rifle on November 22nd, 1963. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – VERY NICE Condition. Ther are no visible markings or dates on the sling. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and cracking on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich dark brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items.
