It enables the shooter to quickly achieve a much more stable shooting position with minimum extra weight. It can be used standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling or in prone positions. Jeff Cooper recommended such for use in his renowned “Scout Rifle” concept. All these slings are made from 1 wide vegetable tanned leather. This leather does require occasional oiling to maintain durability. As they are a three point sling they require an additional swivel.
