Handcrafted rifle sling, made by Seelye Leather Works. Hand tooled, made from veg-tanned cow (embossed Alligator) and backed with American Bison. The sling is padded, adjustable, and has brass chicago screw fasteners. The sling starting length is 30 1/2″ long and adjust out to 33″ long. The sling also has a US Army concho accent. All of SLW items are handcrafted, each item is unique. SLW uses only the finest natural leather, and the natural surface of leather has its own characteristics. The proof of its uniqueness is the markings that occur during the life of the animal. Leather used to create the products of SLW will include scratches, scars, brands, insect bites, indentations and scuffs. This adds to the uniqueness and beauty of SLW products. 30 1/2″ long, 31 3/4″, 33 long. 3 wide at the top including piping. 2 wide at the bottom including piping. 1 1/8 wide top and bottom strap. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Marked: HOYT 1918 – Very Nice Condition. The sling is marked: HOYT and dated 1918. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor surface cracking of the leather. No deep cracks, no breaks through the leather. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. The lower rivet of the hook, on the longer strap is starting to pull through the back of the leather. Still attached to the leahter. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items.
