Handcrafted rifle sling, made by Seelye Leather Works. Made from embossed alligator veg-tan cow and lined with American Bison. The sling is adjustable and has Chicago screw fasteners. The sling starting length is 30 1/2″ long, and adjusts out to 33″ long. The sling is from my Economy line (economy AA), it is made from the same quality leather and made with the same craftsmanship as my Standard and Heirloom Slings. All of SLW’s items are handcrafted making each item unique. SLW uses only the finest natural leather, and the natural surface of leather has its own characteristics. The proof of its uniqueness is the markings that occur during the life of the animal. Leather used to create the products of SLW will include scratches, scares, brands, insect bites, indentations, and scuffs. This adds to the uniqueness and beauty of SLW products. 301/2″ long, 31 3/4″, 33″ long 1 1/8″ strap at the top and bottom. It is marked, Hickok 1943 and has 3 claw hooks instead of 2. The strap is longer than the normal 2 hook sling that was used on the 1917 rifle, 1903 rifle and the M1 rifle. The extra length was for the over the shoulder firing position for walking fire. The sling is in very minty condition and the leather is supple with no cracks, tears, loose stitching. It still retains the natural tan leather color. It has not been saddle soap or polished. This is a scarce leather to find in any condition and this sling would be very hard to upgrade.
