Original WWI Era US Army M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1917 Enfield Rifle – Dated 1918 – Excellent Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWI Era US Army M1907 Leather Sling. The sling has the Chicago Belting Co. Logo and is dated 1918. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. Still retains some of the original blackening on the brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple, very pliable. No rips or tears in the leather. No deep cracking in the leather, no wrinkling, please see photos. The leather has still has that rich russet brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. It is not often that you find an Original M1905 sling from the WWI period in Excellent Condition, like this.
