RARE VINTAGE 33 INCH LEATHER R. 1917 RIFLE SLING / BELT. THIS IS A GREAT OLDER ORIGINAL RIFLE SLING. THIS I BELIEVE WAS MADE FOR A M 1 RIFLE. THE COLOR IS A DARKER BROWN. THE PHOTO WITH THE SLING AT 33 INCHES IS THE REAL COLOR. THE ONES IN THE OTHER PICTURES ARE LIGHTER. THIS IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE WITH A SUPER PETINA. THE BRASS DOES HAVE SOME OXIDATION BUT NOTHING MAJOR. I DID NOT WANT TO CLEAN UP MUCH TO SHOW THAT THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. THIS ONE IS IN MUCH BETTER SHAPE THAN ANY I HAVE SEEN FROM THAT ERA. THIS WAS SITTING IN A CLOSET FOR AT LEAST 50 YEARS UNTOUCHED. ALSO THE BELT IS 1 1/4 WIDE. IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. THE LEATHER IS VERY PLIABLE.
