For long-term care, occasionally use a small amount of neatsfoot oil, leather conditioner, or saddle soap to keep it flexible and looking good. Basically, treat it like your horse tack. The leather is weather-resistant, true Latigo, tanned from native U. Heavy steer hides (not cowhide). Latigo leather is tanned twice and treated with oils, waxes, and tallow at the tannery, which can’t be replicated with home conditioners. It breaks in quickly, becoming supple and comfortable after 10-15 hours of use. Comes with two steel sling swivels installed. Just attach the sling to your rifle, and you’re ready. The swivels are made by GrovTec in the USA. Length adjusts by sliding the center braided knot. Quick adjustment is easy, even with gloves.
