Original German WWII Mauser K98 rifle leather sling with keeper

This sling has some damage with two nicks to the side of the sling, cracking and staining. The metal buckle is marked L&F that shows some rust to the metal parts. Can not find any other markings. This sling is better served as a display sling. The nicks in the sides are both on the side that does not show when drawn tight to the rifle.
