Quality older reproduction M1907 style military rifle sling with HOYT 1917 marking and brass claw hooks. Heavy brown leather construction with brass hardware and dual adjustment sections in the classic M1907 pattern used on U. Military rifles including the M1903 Springfield and M1 Garand. Leather remains thick, supple, and in excellent overall condition with no cracking, crazing, torn adjustment holes, or loose stitching observed. This appears to be an older high-quality reproduction rather than an original WWI-issued sling. The leather has aged nicely and has a very good look and feel without the dryness commonly seen on originals. Would make an excellent shooter sling, display sling, reenactor piece, or upgrade for a Garand/Springfield project rifle. Thick, supple leather. No major cracking or damage. Brass hardware functions properly. HOYT 1917 marked. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition and details.

Brand new, but conditioned to allow easier use of “stop” (froschen) and it’s lock button and so on. This is a high quality, reproduction, German/European style side sling, appx. /1″ span, of the type originally designed for German carbines and so on, specifically for the short Karabiner Kurz 98 or K98k, the 1934-45 standard bolt action large ring rifle of the HEERES ARMEE (often called “Wehrmacht”, which actually means “armed forces) two of which rifles are used here, NOT FOR SALE, but to illustrate applications, appropriate specimens, and rigging details. This one has been detail QC’d and oil conditioned with premium quality neatsfoot, to make it more flexible, supple, and easier to install. That application will also prolong the life of this very sturdy 12-ounce premium leather. The crosshatching is an accurate surface, and almost all service versions were prepared with this pressed-in pattern A similar sling was used on the WWI Karabiner, the K. 98AZ, one of which is shown in a colorized imaged here with a 1918 storm trooper. These are NOT correct for that rifle, but WILL function and allow the firearm to be safely carried. Of course, late in their lives, the K. 98AZ specimens still in service DID use this version of the strap. There is no maker’s mark or date on here. Typical crosshatched leather, very sturdy keeper stop “froschen”, keeper, and “adjuster” or “buckle” an incorrect term but they were often called that! Rare originals are TOO VALUABLE to actually tote a heavy rifle.
