Scarce Original Pre-WW1 Trapdoor/Krag/Springfield Model 1903 Sling

Offered is an original pre-World War One production leather sling manufactured for use with the Springfield Trapdoor rifles, Krag-Jorgensen rifles and early Springfield Model of 1903 rifles. This pre-M1907 sling was manufactured with one brass claw and one brass button/stud. It will fit any 03 rifle but is certainly correct for early 03s, including rod bayonet 03s. This sling is offered as pictured in original, unmodified condition. It has the inspector’s initials on the end of the tab near the brass stud. There is a small tear at the bottom of the claw that will neither affect installation of the sling nor display (I would never recommend shouldering a rifle with these antique slings). Otherwise, the sling shows only normal wear and cracking, particularly given its age. The sling remains supple and is full length. Overall, a very scarce sling that will display very well on your rifle. Priced very attractively given the issue.
